Bolduc kicking it up a notch for Richmond Kickers

Sports

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Matt Bolduc is enjoying a breakout season for the Richmond Kickers, leading USL League One with four assists.

But the path to success hasn’t been easy for Bolduc, who turned pro after his coach at UMass-Amherst, Sam Koch, died of cancer.

“I took a chance on myself, left school and luckily it worked out for me,” Bolduc said.

Bolduc is in his third season in Richmond after stints with Western Mass in NPSL and the Harrisburg City Islanders in USL and said he feels at home with the club and the community.
