RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — VCU opens the Atlantic 10 Tournament on Friday in Pittsburgh as the number 1 seed after winning the conference regular season title, a first for the program.
The Rams finished the regular season with a win vs. Davidson to improve their conference record to 13-3. Overall, VCU has a 21-8 record.
“Coming into the summer and where we were, I knew that we would be turning heads,” said head coach Beth O’Boyle. “It’s just exciting to be the number one seed.”
VCU will play the winner of St. Joseph’s and George Washington at 11 a.m. in the A-10 Quarterfinals.
