RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Virginia Commonwealth University’s head coach Mike Rhoades has been named A-10 Coach of the Year after leading the Rams to a conference regular season title.
Rhoades, who is in his second season as head coach, went 16-2 in conference play. He is the first VCU head coach to earn this honor since joining the Atlantic 10.
The A-10 also named VCU’s Marcus Evans to the All-Conference First Team and All-Academic. De’Riante Jenkins was named Third Team.
From Richmond, Jacob Gilyard was named Second Team and All-Defensive. Grant Golden was named to the Third Team. Noah Yates made All-Academic.
