Northbound Interstate 95 lanes in Spotsylvania reopen after earlier accident

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Northbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Spotsylvania have reopened after being closed earlier due to a multi-vehicle accident, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).

Lanes were closed at mile marker 125, which is located between the Thornburg and Spotsylvania exits.

Northbound travelers were encouraged to use Route 301 as an alternate route by taking the Carmel Church exit.

If you are traveling through that area, expect residual delays as congestion clears.
