RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Another chilly night is on the way to the area, but we will be significantly warmer that this morning.

Instead of waking up in the teens, we will see overnight lows in the lower to middle 20s.

Warmer air is going to pour into the area tomorrow as winds shift around to the southwest.   With dry air over us and only a few thin clouds during the afternoon, it will turn milder.

Many of us will warm into the mid to upper 50s by days’ end.

Clouds start to move in tomorrow night as a weather system approaches from the west.   That is going to set the stage for showers on Friday in the area.

Most of these will be in the afternoon and early evening hours, but as you see from the maps, they are somewhat hit and miss over us.   So while they will be a little bit of a nuisance for any outdoor activities, the overall rainfall amounts appear to be very light.

Over the weekend, you won’t see a lot of sunshine on Saturday, but we are in for mild weather in the area. We will see limited sunshine on Saturday with highs in the middle 60s—some of the models try to push us to near 70!

Sunday, clouds over us and a return of showers in the forecast.

Early next week, clouds and unsettled weather remain in the area with colder air arriving later in the week.
