Richmond, Va (WRIC-TV). — It’s going to be another hot day across the commonwealth.
Highs will climb into lower 90s by the afternoon under mostly sunny skies. Humidity will be on the lower side today, making for comfortable conditions. Perfect for any 4th of July activities. An isolated afternoon shower and storm cannot be ruled out today, but most of the region will stay dry. This is great news for any firework shows this evening.
The humidity will filter back into Central Virginia on Tuesday. Highs will climb into the lower 90s under partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies. A few pop up afternoon showers and storms are possible again on Tuesday, but not everyone will see the rain. Some of these storms, especially farther north, have the potential to be strong with gusty winds and heavy downpours.
The better rain chances will start on Wednesday and continue throughout the week. More scattered showers and storms are possible in the afternoon and evening. Again, some of these storms could be strong with gusty winds and heavy downpours. Highs will once again climb into the 90s under partly to mostly sunny skies. Feel like temperatures will reach the triple digits.
Cloud cover will increase on Thursday. Highs will be in the upper 80s under mostly cloudy skies. The chance for afternoon showers and storms will persist on Thursday too.
Friday will be similar to Thursday. Skies will be mostly cloudy with afternoon showers and storms possible. It won’t be a total washout, but it is more likely you’ll see an isolated storm in the afternoon this day. Highs will be in the upper 80s and lower 90s.
