RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – Clear skies and light winds tonight will allow for us to see a brisk night in the region.  Our overnight lows are going to drop into the mid to upper 20s over the area.

After a frosty start to your Friday morning, you will be in for some nice weather tomorrow.  Sunshine in the morning with a few high thin clouds in the afternoon and temperatures of 49-55.

That will make for comfortable weather for RVA Illuminates tomorrow evening.  However, it you are staying for the moving, you might want to bring a blanket for the lawn chair or to put atop the blanket you will be sitting on.

Saturday, a cold front will come through the region with a good chance of showers.   Right now, they look to pass through here late morning and early afternoon.

We will have a mild day over us with highs in the lower to middle 60s.   Rainfall will generally be less than ¼” over us.

Sunday, we are back to mostly sunny weather with cooler highs in the upper 40s.   The next weather system looks to be a little slower in making it to us.   So, for right now, I have opted to keep Monday dry, and put the rain on Tuesday into Wednesday.

Following that, there are some “fuzzy” signs pointing to unsettled weather to end next week, but right now the models are all over the place with risks of rainfall.

College football this weekend on both coasts involving teams from here. Both look like they will deal with some rain.  The Spiders out at Sacramento State, and the Tribe hosting Gardner-Webb.
