RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – A FRIGID start to our Saturday across Central Virginia!

Arctic high pressure has settled into our region, bringing our latest cold snap of this winter season for the Commonwealth.

If you have Saturday morning plans, PLEASE bundle up, warm up your vehicle and take it easy out there.

Saturday’s forecast calls for lots of sunshine and high temperatures rising to 35-40 degrees.

Saturday night into Sunday morning, calls for increasing clouds and temperatures due to the arctic high pressure sliding off of the east coast of the US.

Sunday’s forecast calls for partly cloudy skies, a few afternoon showers and high temperatures rising into the 50s.

Next work week, we will see a nice warming trend with 60s back in the forecast for Wednesday through Friday.

Rain chances return for Thursday through Saturday of next week.
