StormTracker 8: Mild weekend on the way

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Overnight we are going to see clear skies in the area with the winds slackening a bit.  Overnight lows will be in the lower to middle 30s.

Saturday will be a sunny day over us.  As we warm up into the upper 50s to around 60 degrees it will get somewhat breezy in the afternoon.   We could see a few hours with wind gusts of 20-25mph

A fair-weather system will be right over us on Saturday night, allowing for clear skies and calm winds.  It will be a little crisp out there as the lows fall into the upper 20s and the lower 30s.   Great weather is expected for Sunday over us.   We will have sunshine until a few clouds show up by late in the day. It will be warmer with highs of 65-70.

Monday, the next weather maker starts to move in over us.  Clouds will be on the increase over us, allowing for rain to develop by as early as late in the afternoon.  It will warm into the mid-60s.   Rain is on tap for Monday night over us.

This system will move to the south of the region on Tuesday. During the morning there could be a lingering shower along the VA/NC line.   However, by later in the day most of us will become sunny. It is going to be much cooler as highs will only be in the upper 40s to near 50.

Sunshine will be on tap for us Wednesday through Friday before a weather system arrives next weekend.   We will start off in the 50s on Wednesday and warm to near 70 by the end of the week.
